FAQ

Common Questions

What types of trusts do you work with?

We prepare returns for trusts of different kinds, such as family (discretionary) and unit trusts.

When do trustee distribution resolutions need to be made?

Many trust deeds require trustees to decide how income is distributed by 30 June. The exact requirement depends on your trust deed, so we'll check it and remind you ahead of time.

What happens if trust income isn't distributed?

Income that isn't properly distributed can end up taxed at high rates in the trustee's hands. Getting distributions and resolutions right each year is one of the main ways we help.

Can you set up a new trust as well?

Yes. Our business structure service covers trust setup, and we can look after the trust's ongoing tax returns from there.
